ATCs can offer ProQual and DefraQual™ certification products providing they adhere to the following: Comply with ISO 17024:2012 Use only assessors that are designated by IPSQA Use approved assessment tools that have been approved by IPSQA (i.e. moderated or on the approved list). Do not provide RPL services or retrospective assessment for these products Maintain a license to use NFPA standards being assessed (ProQual only) from www.nfpa.org Access to the relevant NFPA standard is crucial for both the assessor and student during assessments. Specifically, Part B assessments rely on the specific criteria outlined in the NFPA standard. The administration of is very similar to the Certificate in Public Safety, but the candidate is not required to demonstrate experience (Part C requirements).
